When Alfa Romeo officially introduced Alfetta in 1972 all other European car houses were already producing brilliant and comfortable sedans. Alfa proposed instead a similar model which focused on the concept of “comfortable family car” and offered at the same time superior performances, as was in the tradition of Alfa Romeo. The author describes in details the history of each version and analyses the development of this car both from the technical and from the stylistic point of view.
